Your workday will involve identifying, qualifying, and quantifying opportunities to reduce a vessel’s carbon footprint. In order to, accomplish this, you will be working closely with Ships’ Onboard Management team and Technical Managers to understand the vessel’s design, operational profile and diagnose their pain-points.
You will also be collaborating with relevant stakeholders and OEM’s in recognizing optimum solutions and their associated commercial and technical implications. The insights of this exercise will then have to be made available to the Ship Owners as a clear and concise or a detailed and thorough report as per their requirement.
You will also be required to manage active implementation of energy saving devices onboard ships, its project management and performance monitoring to evaluate its efficacy of operations.
Additionally, you will deep-dive into regulatory legislation which target decarbonization liabilities and help the Owners and Ship Managers to navigate these obstacles through in-depth analysis of the vessel’s operation and optimization of market-based measures.
Furthermore, you will be involved in evaluation of new marine technologies, that aim towards shipboard energy savings, in terms of its technical and operational feasibility, readiness levels, business opportunities and implementation strategies.

You possess a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical/Marine Engineering OR Naval Architecture, with strong understanding of a ship’s onboard operations.
You have a minimum 3-4 years of similar working experience. This should preferably include sea going experience of at least Third Engineer rank AND/OR shipyard retrofit project management.
You are self-motivated, an energetic individual with a strong analytical mindset.
You possess good communication skills and can work efficiently with multicultural teams.
You enjoy working in fast paced, result-oriented environment and are able to influence/lead discussions with stakeholders in achieving results.
